The mission of the Green Comfort Herb School and Apothecary is to educate and empower individuals to heal themselves using herbal medicine. This business has been the sole proprietorship of Teresa Boardwine since 1994. Honoring her soul’s purpose of educating others in the healing traditions, Teresa continues to serve as herbalist to her community and those she teaches as she lectures nationally and internationally.

Green Comfort’s goal is to offer a variety of educational opportunities for herbal studies, holistic nutrition and food preparation. Teresa also offers advanced education for herb students who wish to acquire professional membership in the American Herbalist Guild. These programs include Clinical Training and Integrative Herbalism. Green Comfort also offers opportunities for apprenticeships. Teresa enjoys teaching diet, nutrition and natural gourmet cooking classes. Some of these course offerings are not being offered at the present time, but could be requested.

Organizations and individuals can contract Green Comfort for seminars and lectures based on the groups needs. Teresa has speaking experience at national and state herb conferences such as Medicines from the Earth in Black Mt. North Carolina  and The South Easts Women's Herbal Conference in Flat Rock North Carolina. She has also spoken to the Natural Pharmacist Association in Washington, DC. She accompanied Dr. James Duke to the Peruvian rainforest in 1994 and has sponsored field trips to his Herbal Vineyard in Fulton, MD. Teresa will continue to provide quality herbal education wherever she is invited.

Green Comfort Clinical Consultation service is offered with high integrity and great skill. As an herbalist, Teresa shares her healing talents and nurturance to those who come seeking. She provides guidance and education as she facilitates the individuals healing process.  Teresa considers it an honor to serve as a health care practitioner and Green Comfort’s intent to provide quality herbal health care.
