“Connecting People to Plants”

Herb Camp is our perennial favorite—a long weekend immersion into the world of plant medicine. Together, we explore wild, native, and invasive plants found in gardens, woodlands, fields, riverbanks, and wet ditches throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains of Rappahannock County. On guided walks, participants learn to identify, gather, and harvest useful medicinal and wild edible plants. Afternoons are devoted to hands-on medicine making, creating herbal preparations such as syrups, tinctures, and salves from our harvest. 

The Green Comfort Botanical Sanctuary is registered with United Plant Savers (UpS) and has identified over 210 plants, including trees, on the property and in the surrounding woodlands. Participants receive a directory of the plants we study along with recipes for the herbal medicines made during our three days together. Adults love our herbal exploratory camp—bring a swimsuit, pitch a tent if you like, and spend three playful, nourishing days in the mountains. 🌿

 Lunches provided Friday & Saturday hike days Sunday check-out at 2 PM Tuition includes Camping, Food and Handouts $450.
